Our commercial tree management services consider the specific needs of tree species and customer requirements to determine the British Standard ‘best action’ and to support our wider biodiversity and habitat creation aims.

Our services include the removal and treatment of dead and diseased trees, the creation of totem trees, and the installation of additional trees and shrubbery to enhance areas. We also provide:

  • Day-to-day tree surgery and maintenance
  • Reactive and emergency tree works
  • Tree maintenance plans and on-site inspections
  • Canopy thinning
  • Planting and related services to create positively enhanced environments

All our works take environmental issues into consideration, avoiding key bird nest months to minimise the impact of any works and, working alongside our own in-house ecologists where required.

Storm Eunice presented some of the biggest challenges I’ve seen in my time at Southern Water – possibly in my entire career. On behalf of our company, our customers and the communities we serve, I want to thank you for the key role your team played in our response. Your work helped to ensure our services stood up to the sternest test at a time when our customers needed it most. One of our company values at Southern Water is ‘Succeeding Together’, and there can be no better demonstration of that than your support and partnership at such a difficult time. Thank you for going above and beyond for our customers and our environment.
